Prompt to render
Prompt to render or 4DGS: produce it in Blender with Claude Code and Codex
Describe the scene in a sentence and tick what you need. This page writes a detailed prompt for your coding agent; the agent runs Blender headless, builds the scene and produces a 3D animation, video, still image or 4DGS videos from that same scene. Download the result, watch it here, and embed the 4DGS version on your site.
How it works
- Describe the scene and pick outputsDescribe the model, point to your own file or give a Meshy or Tripo link. You can select more than one output.
- Give the prompt to your coding agentClaude Code or Codex runs Blender with
blender -b, writes the scripts, renders and checks the results itself. - Watch the resultDrop the GLB, video or image into the player below. The file never leaves your computer. On supported headsets a GLB opens in VR.
- Share itBring the mesh into your game or scene. Upload the 4DGS videos to 4dgspl.at to get a player, a share link and an embed code.
Prompt generator
Create your Blender prompt
The prompt is generated only in your browser. Edit it as you like and paste it into your agent.
If you edit the text by hand, changing settings will not overwrite it; press "Rebuild from settings" to apply them again.
Preview
Watch your render here
Your file opens only in this browser and is not sent to any server. Orbit and zoom the 3D animation, and scrub the timeline.
VR: The button appears only while a GLB is open and your browser supports VR sessions (such as the Meta Quest browser). It does not appear in iPhone Safari. 4DGS results play on the project page or in the examples.
Which output is for what?
| Output | File | Where it goes | Embed and share |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3D animation | teslim/mesh/sahne.glb (optional FBX, USD) | Unity, Unreal, Three.js, PlayCanvas, Blender scenes | Download; local preview and VR here |
| Video | teslim/video/sahne.mp4 | Social media, promos, editing | Download; local preview here |
| Still image | teslim/gorsel/sahne.png | Covers, product shots, compositing | Download; local preview here |
| 4DGS videos | teslim/camNN.mp4 + kalibrasyon.zip | Web content viewed from any angle | Upload to 4dgspl.at: player, link, embed code, per-frame PLY |
One animation, two formats
Use the mesh in your game or scene while sharing the 4DGS version of the same animation on the web. When you select both, the prompt builds a single scene, exports the GLB first, then renders the 4DGS videos on a copy of the scene with matte materials and a black background.
Worth knowing: The mesh is not extracted from the 4DGS result; both come from the same Blender scene. Scale and motion match, but the 4DGS engine positions the scene around its own centre, so overlaying the two may need a small alignment.
Frequently asked questions
How do Codex and Claude Code use Blender?
Blender can run headless and be fully driven by Python. The coding agent writes scripts on your computer, runs them with blender -b, checks the output and fixes errors. No add-on is needed; Blender just has to be installed.
Which outputs can I get at once?
All four. The prompt builds one scene and produces the outputs in order. The 4DGS pass goes last because it makes materials matte and the background black.
Can I use my model from Meshy or Tripo?
Yes. Give the link to the model page. If the agent can download the file without signing in, it continues; if the page asks for sign-in or credits, it stops and asks you for the GLB, never for a password. That is why you also enter the file path. If the model has no armature, the agent builds one for the motion. The licence depends on the model and your plan: the prompt has the agent note what it finds in the README, so check it yourself before commercial use.
Is the mesh extracted from the 4DGS result?
No. The GLB is exported directly from the Blender scene and the 4DGS videos are rendered from the same scene. 4dgspl.at does not generate meshes from Gaussians.
Is my file uploaded?
Not in the preview player: GLB, video and image files open only in your browser. The prompt is generated in the browser too. You upload videos yourself only to process 4DGS.
How do I watch in VR?
Open this page in a WebXR browser such as the Meta Quest browser, load the GLB and press "Watch in VR". The model stands on the floor in front of you; very small or very large models are scaled to 0.5–2.5 m tall.
Why can't FBX or Alembic be previewed?
Browsers cannot open these formats directly. The prompt always produces a GLB as well, so use that for previews; FBX and USD are for your other tools.
Why not a text-to-video AI model?
Those models generate each view separately; they cannot give geometrically consistent views of the same moment or known camera positions, and they do not produce a mesh. A 3D scene and render gives consistent views and a real model.
What does it cost?
The prompt generator and preview are free; Blender is open source and your coding agent has its own subscription. For 4DGS processing, new accounts get 5 free jobs, then credits apply.
